Well I own a Vermont Castings grill and really love it. I can't comment on the other grill that you mentioned as I have never seen it before. I choose the Vermont Castings over weber only because most of the parts seemed to be allot more heavy duty and beefier. The only plastic parts on mine are the wheels. Speaking of parts though as most on this forum know, Webber wins in parts availability, but we won't get into a Webber vs "X" grill discussion as we have a lot of die hard Webber heads here.
I can't offer any advise since I haven't seen these two grill us close. On paper they look nice though.
My question is this, why don't you want a Weber? I promise I won't try to twist your arm (too hard anyway) or bash you, but I'm just curious?
