Today, my family is out of town. So I said to my self, why should I suffer? I was going to treat my self to a manly steak (no offence to women). Of course, I’ve been planning this for a while. I went to Costco last weekend and picked myself up a 21/2 pound Strip steak (beef top loin). I let it age in my refrigerator for the last 7 days (noticed the marvelous fat marble lines on this steak). The steak weighed at 43oz when I picked it up, now it weighs about 36oz after aging.

The steak was crusted with the following ingredients: Kosher salt, black pepper, cumin, Aleppo chili pepper, granulated onion powder, white peeper, paprika, and coriander.
Tomorrow, my family will be back, and we’ll have the big Memorial Day BBQ.
P.S. I’ll tell them that I had a T.V. dinner while they were gone (may be they’ll feel sorry for me).
