OK, This will be my first smoke. Schnucks (local grocery store) has this cut on sale for $.99/lb, but I found it last night for $.88/lb, so I pick one up.

I'm gonna search out a couple of rubs and get it preped Friday night, so Saturday will be a "smokin'" day!!

Hope I got the right cut and I hope it turns out. I'll try to take some pics and document what I do. (more for a buddy of mine who has grill envy right now :) )

Mmmmm how are you thinking about serving it. I love a good pulled pork sandwich. You can feed a small army with a nice size shoulder.

It's gonna be pulled :D We are gonna have baked beans and coleslaw to go with it. HMMMM, I just ate lunch and I'm gettin hungry.

Hey Ryan, good luck! I'm doing a Boston Butt this weekend, with a small beef brisket. For me, the brisket is what worries me; I've only done one and it wasn't great. Anyway, I love the pulled pork and feel very comfortable with that cut of meat. Best of luck and let's report back next week.

Take the smoked skin and make cracklin' corn bread out of it. MMmm good! :D
