There's a show on Food TV called "A Cook's Tour" starring Anthony Bourdain. (Author of Kitchen Confidential and a book called A Cook's Tour - both excellent reads)
In the book and on the show, he goes to a restaurant in Northern California called French Laundry. The chef knows that Tony is a big smoker, so he prepares him a dish with tobacco in it.
I've also heard that restaurants in manhattan are starting to use tobacco in food due to the new no smoking rules.
Give it a try! Although I'm not a cigarette smoker (I prefer to smoke pork butts I'd be interested to hear how it turned out.
