I tried something new this weekend. At my wifes suggestion I made griled ceasar salad. She had it a a restaurant and said it was great.
Well as it turns our sure enough it is!

Take your romaine lettuce head and cut it in half or quarters depending on the size of the head. Leave the root attached to hold the leaves together. Brush with olive oil and grill at medium to high heat. Just long enough to pick up grill marks and for the lettuce to wilt a bit.
Serve whole with dressing, croutons, and permesan cheese.

I'm already thinking of different salads that this could work with too.

good idea! I have made croutons on the grill before - both smoked and grilled, works well.
