Best bbq around in Florida is at Uncle Jones' on the corner of 436 and 17-92. A hole in the wall, been there forever and there ain't nothin' mo' betta!

That intersection is in the Orlando area...Just east of Altamonte Springs and just south of Casselberry and north of Orlando. I lived in the area for 20 years before moving to New York 3 years ago and never knew that place was there. I bought a grand piano from Jones Music about a block south of there though... And there are several popular adult clubs within a block of that intersection too.

the best place i have found is fred cottons bbq in jax fl. a little hole in the wall place,but it has excelent bbq. if ya'll are ever in the area you should try and make it there.

Don't forget about Tiny's in the capitol city.

I've been to the Alafaya Trail location a few times ~ It's not the greatest. Been over 3 years though...

Hay, I managed to stop in at Hammerknockers BBQ in Crawfordville (just south of Tallahassee in Wakulla County) last night and I must say the the chicken was pret' good. I'll be back.

Also, I must reiterate that a stop at Big Johns BBQ in Tampa is a MUST for any BBQ aficionado either visiting, or living anywhere near the Tampa Bay area .

For those of you in the panhandle, Pig Daddy's in Defuniak Springs is good. They have the best turnip greens I ever ate. The panhandle has more of a southern pit style BBQ, influenced by southern Alabama and Georgia. That's why we are called the Redneck Riviera.

I know that they are a fanchise...but Sticky Fingers in Jacksonville is the best.
