Hey All,

I am going to do a couple of racks of ribs this Saturday and have a question for you all.
I think I am going to do one rack with the KC Sweet & Smoky Rub and one with Jake's Boss BBQ Rub (both in Steve's book BBQ Bible Sauces Rubs & Marinades) to see which I like best.
My question is do you mop at all while your smoking and do you put a BBQ sauce on at the end or simply let the rub provide the flavor?
Let me know what you all do?

Hey RichD here's a GOOD RIB THREAD we had a while back.

I spray mine with a fruit juice or apple cider every hour to keep them moist. Then wrap them if foil just before they are done. Several folks add a little BBQ sauce for flavor when wrapping, but I don't.

I was droolin over some ribs at Sam's yesterday but didn't pick any up. :(

That was a very interesting thread. Thanks for the tip.
I would still like to hear from everyone though.

You can mop if you like but, like Bob said, I like to spray mine with any kind of liquid marinade. I also like to spread some sauce on the top of the ribs, wrap them in foil and put them meat sde down in the smoker for a few hours. Good luck
keep it smoky

Thanks for the tip.
I meant to include spray / mist in my orinal post. I realized I forgot after I hit the submit button and I didn't feel like going back to edit.
