Thanks Bob-BBQn for the welcome and thanks to everyone for their ideas and advise.
In answer to your question: i do not want to grill and smoke all at the same time but rather have a unit that will smoke if I want or grill (dual use). Sorry for the corn fusion.

I knew exactly what you were looking for. I was in the same situation a while back. Since all my other grills and smokers were gas fueled, I wanted one unit that uses charcoal/logs for fuel and be able to grill and smoke as well. I did not want to buy 2 separate units.
I hope you’ll find what you need.
