May sound like a stupid question, but do you shut the lid while cooking on the grill with a rotisserie?

Sure, I've got the rotissere for a 22.5 weber, I put the lid down, especially when using smoking chips/chunks.

remember the guru's "rule of hand" if its thick as you hand or less, lid up - thicker than your hand, lid down.
