I think I have finally mastered charcoal, well what I *actually* mean is that I finally had sufficient heat to cook properly! I used more charcoal and also drilled a few more holes in the pan which sits over the base vents (it holds the charcoal). I have also ordered a charcoal grate which *should* fit as I think this may be a better option than what I currently have.

Chicken satay from Primal Grill, chicken marinated with chilli ginger and coriander, grilled asparagus, lemongrass and ginger rice and cucumber salad.

Very nice indeed, KA!

And I especially like that cute little grill. It reminds me of my Weber Smokey Joe Platinum.
Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes.

Gorgeious satay, Angela! And that sure is pretty stem ware as will. With charcoal, one thing I know holds to be true is that the colder the outdoor temp is, the significantly more charcoal one needs to get up to heat.
Got beer???
