I've been to several public gatherings when the veterans of all services were asked to stand and receive the honor they deserve, and I glady stood with them.

There are a few groups of people whom I've never seen honored but who should have been. There are many people who because of deep felt religious beliefs cold not serve in the military, but who performed alternative service for a length of time. They helped the local people to live a best they could with family members in the military. Another group included those who wanted to join but for medical or other reasons were not accepted.

The military personnel need the people in the home front as well as we need them where they are.
