Come on everyone, if you had to choose your go to, number one, favorite BBQ food for game day, what would it be-- pizza, wings, hot dogs, brats, burgers, ribs, etc.?
Got beer???

Great topic!!! For Gamecocks Baseball, I'm superstitious.... has to be Grilled Pizza! :) For Football, you cannot beat Steven Raichlen's recipe for Piri Piri Wings!!! Here are a coupla pix of some Piri Piri Wings I made a few weeks back at a demonstration cook my buddies and I attended... I gave Steven some major props and he got a lotta hits on his Primal Grill Website that day! :D

Best wing recipe on the planet if you ask me! :) I've also made Steven's Tokyo-Style Grilled Chicken Dumplings (from Planet Barbecue) for game day....those are very, very good too!

Thx, BC! Just any pizza without chicken in it... ;) That's bad juju for gamecocks baseball. ;)

I think I gotta go wings for this one. Don't matter the flavor. Like these spicy teriyaki wings and buffalo wings

Or Steven's Australian Beer-Barbecued Wings

Course I would be just as happy if somebody served up some Turtle Eggs and ABTs

And I'd be pleased as punch if I had some Buffalo Turkey Sliders

So many choices, so many choices. When does football start up again?

The NFL draft starts a week from today; does that help?

For baseball, both at home and tailgating at the ballpark, brats and hotdogs are the norm but on occasion I'll fix something from the visiting team's city just to change things up. For example, when we go to Milwaukee to see the Pirates next month there's a good chance I'll grill some kielbasa instead of brats.

Otherwise, I don't really have any favorites. An NFL Sunday is great for anything that requires a long cook, so it's a good day for pulled pork, ribs, etc. and sometimes I'll start the day with some wings for lunch.

Griffin-- Clearly you are a sportsfood master!

SC-- I was wondering if you were going to say a packer brisket for Packer Sunday!

You can't go wrong with a perfectly charred hot dog.
