Just to show how fantastic the Egg is at maintaining temperature I decided to do a Pizza on the Egg in midst of our winter storm on Tuesday. The snow was coming down heavy at the point of the cook but the Egg never wobbled on temperature nor did it use any more fuel than normal. Kept the temp at a consistent 550....

Started off with some premade dough from one of our local grocery stores here and went with the basic kid friendly pizza....Cheese pizza

So with the snow really starting to pick up I got the Egg up to about 550 or so and just let it go! I did notice I didn't preheat the stone long enough as the crust wasn't as crispy as I normally get it but it was still delicious!

I agree....browned cheese is a must!! I'm watching Primal Grill right now and Steven is cooking prosciutto-wrapped trout on a BGE...
