Not a Brinkmann, but these are mods i did to my Oklahoma Joe.

Thanks for the info. A couple of questions;
1) on the firebox mod, is that rebar that you ran thru the holes and if so doesn't the protruding ends get super hot?

2) what material did you use for the stack?

On my old Brinkmann the cooking chamber lid is similar to the one on your unit, on the new unit the cooking chamber is split into two halfs. l'm going to need to add a flange around the lower lip of the barrel.

1- It was just 2 pieces of 1/4" or 3/8" steel rod. I never noticed them being excessively hot. If you are worried about it, get some long bolts and use those

2- Smoke stack is exhaust pipe welded to a plate. I used High temp silicone to seal it to chamber
