pellets can do both cold and hot, but you need a pellet grill for that used with the AMNPS smoke generator you get one end going real good with a torch then blow the flame out and then it smolders and produces a smoke with hardly any heat
started making test batches with all the different pellets, misplaced my jerky gun so i had to use the stuffer but it makes the jerky to thick, found the jerky gun on the next night
ironic that you would ask that, by sunday i had a full fledged head cold, cant smell or taste anything, today the hospital that i work at called me to fill in for another person, so i took some mesquit and pecan to a coworker thats a born texen to try it and evaluate it on the amount of smokiness, all the batches had the same amount of pellets for 3 to 4 hrs, he loved it, the mesquit was perfect but the pecan could be alittle stronger, so im starting to take notes on everything.
