Smoked chickens and veggies (pics)

Decided to smoke-roast a few spatchcock chickens. Used cherry wood, and put the tray of veggies underneath to cook in all the smoky drippings:

You're going to be eating well for a couple of days now! Did you add any liquid to the vegetables or was the pan dry prior to the drippings?

I did some chicken leg quarters yesterday and they didn't turn out as nice as your birds...

No added liquid. The drippings eventually filled it about halfway, which ensured some tender veggies.

Them's some pretty birds, foh shore!
