Got up and went hunting real early yesterday morning. Didn't see anything, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless. And when I got home, I fired up the Egg and got it dialed in nicely at 250 deg f dome temp. Nothing like a low and slow smoke on a lazy day off. I used Apple Wood and rubbed the 8.5 lb butt down with a little bit of mustard and the new Dizzy Pig's Down and Dizzy...
Gave it a spritz of Apple Cider Vinegar every few hours.
Took it to an internal temp of 197 deg f. It melted like butta'!
Sauced it with some Sticky Fingers Habanero Hot.
And my super awesome wife made me a Strawberry Shortcake from scratch! Man o man, it was deeeeeeelicious!
Just had me a leftover sandwich and a slice of cake for lunch.
