Date Night With the Wife

One of our rare nights where we were able to spend some quiet time together. We decided it was perfect to have a date night. Got some flat irons from the butcher. I seasoned mine with Cow Lick (my favorite Dizzy Rub) and then Lisa's with Salt and Pepper

Let the Egg get up to about to 700 and then I put the steaks on. Almost had a big time hair loss as I didn't burp the egg enough...Yeesh that was close..

Here is a plated pic with some compound butter. It was basil and butter. We had some baked potatoes, salad and some Sangria my wife made that she got from Pinterest.

Nice! Gotta go to the butcher and have him cut some nice steaks for me. Haven't grilled steaks for a while and with the big freezer "crapped" and not replaced yet - think I'm just going to get another refrigerator / freezer to replace it - know there are none in the kitchen freezer. Maybe this coming weekend. Should be a lazy, stay home weekend.
