I've been seeing these commercials for the ceramic Yoshi knife that they show all these miraculous things it can do, carve a roast, gently slice a tomato, slice a loaf of bread, and then scrape metal dust off a honing tool. I know products seldom work outside the commercials, especially for $19.99. Anyone got any info on this one?

I think they are mostly for sneaking on Airliners.

I'd be pretty cautious, myself.
Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes.

Ming on the on Mostly Ming PBS show used them for awhile.
They tend to be brittle, they can't take any bending sideways.
The only way they can be sharpened is to send them back to the factory.
They are sharp.
Kyocera is another well known brand

I got a twelve year old Ginzu knife that still cuts like crazy!

I found Kiwi Knives to be a great value and quality. These are amazing chef knifes that I bought for around 5 or 6 dollars each. My wife gets angry because I bypass her expensive Cutco set to use my Kiwi's and Ginzu blades.
