Decided to empty my camera card out and got aroudn to these pictures, also see why its good to know your cuts of meat scored ribey for the price of stew meat
Pork loin and Steve Raichlen foil pouch Green beans
Smoked Chicken Quarters, the office went nuts every time I heated these up in the microwave! just rubbed and put on there with the vents at 3 and 3 and the temp stayed at 350 for about 30-45 min
The "stew Meat" and SR Foil Broccoli (amazing!) could of taken the steaks off sooner Im so used to cooking filet mignon

Beautiful ... Hard to tell, but those could be chuck eyes (the part of the rib closer to the shoulder) which might explain why they would get lumped into "stew meat" by some dumb meat manager.
I think they are more flavorful than ribeyes, but with a little more chew depending on grade. Looking beautiful.
How are you liking that Bubba ?? _________________ - Phillyjazz -

Loving the keg, I am almost finished with my 20lb bag of GFS lump. It hasn't let me down yet. Did wings on it tonight.
Well, they not only looked like ribeyes to me and they were right underneath other ribeyes, so Im fairly confident it is ribeye, they looked just like the ones being sold off as ribeye _________________ Bubba Keg Grill

It's fun to mess with people that way, isn't it!

They definitely look like chuck-eyes from here. Maybe the manager saw the word "chuck" and decided on that basis that it was stew meat. I've used good chuck for my stew, so maybe he got confused.
And yes - I've found that chuck-eyes are a bit more chewy (but not much more) and a bit more tasty than rib-eyes. Those particular specimens look absolutely fantastic. _________________ Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes. |

Ribeye Steak
Chuck Eye Steak
Simple answer to this.. They don't sell chuck eye steaks at my sam's club, or they have been selling chuck eye's under the name of
personally looking at the two pics here I cant tell much a difference but I could be wrong and if so I need to go out and find this chuck eye steak _________________ Bubba Keg Grill
