Hi to all....

It is 53° here in the Badger State on Nov 7th, so I thought would get the day moving with 2 10 lb briskets and 2 8lb boston butts....they have been on since 3:00 this morning and things are looking, and smelling great....We wanted to get the freezer stocked before it gets to -53°...I know, I know where are the pics....I will post them very soon....

It was nice over here in the central southern part of the state, too. I'm getting ready to throw a couple of chuck eye steaks on the grill.

Aw come on...there is NOTHING like smoking a butt or brisket for 20 hours plus in -20 temps.......getting up to add wood/charcoal in the wee early hours of the morning/night, going from your nice warm bed to the absolute frigid outdoors in slippers through a snowbank and having the snow fall into your slippers and freezing your feet...oh yea I LOVE it !!!

it is so worth it Smile

Grilling in the winter helps curb the drabness of the seasons

I'll chime in, bacon cheeseburgers on the BGE last Saturday. They were gone before the camera could come out.

I know what you mean, outagas. I once kept my camera around my neck while smoking a couple of butts and some BCCs. Not sure what happened, but I wound up cleaning a good few grease spots off my UV filter after that. So now I keep the camera in the house till I need it, and sometimes I'm not quick enough to go and grab it.

And yes - if you own a digital SLR camera, spend the $30 or so for a UV filter. It's a lot easier to clean or replace a filter than it is to do the same for a $400 lens.

Mr. Dee Dee - those pics look great! Thanks for posting them. Very Happy
