HOW DO YOU SAY “BARBECUE” IN ITALIAN?

How do you say “barbecue” in Italian?

This summer we’re taking American barbecue global! Below is our first foreign language web page–in Italian–to celebrate the publication of the Italian version of The Barbecue Bible (published by Edizioni Piemme) and the launch of Steven’s TV show on the Italian cable station RAISAT. Other foreign publishing news: Barbecue Bible will also be published in Finnish this summer; and Indoor Grilling has been published in Dutch and French. How to Grill comes out in German–joining translations in French, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, Czech, Slovakian, and Japanese. As a one time linguistics student and French literature major, Steven is thrilled about the enthusiasm for his books overseas. “Barbecue is one area in cooking about which we Americans have a lot to teach the rest of the world,” he says.
