Yes, I was a little rough on a place I haven't visited for 10 years. Glad to hear that Q is picking up in NY, a place with the greatest food variety and quality in the country.

Hello all. New to the board and just saw this discussion. I'm on Long Island and have been a long time fan of Bubbaloo's Bodacious Bar-B-Q.

I noticed a few prior posts mentioend Smokin' Al's and it's the best i've ever had here on LI.

Anyway, nice to meet you all and I look forward to learning from everyone!

Swingbellys in Long Beach is very good as well

I ate at Virgil's near Times Square last year, and it was pretty good to me. I heard that the BBQ joints in NYC have to cook with gas and not wood only. I guess if it's true, they still had wood to flavor the food with.
