Daddy O's (Des Moines)

Over the weekend I tried the brisket, pork, turkey, and ribs at Daddy O's in Grimes, Iowa (just northwest of Des Moines). It was all pretty good and a little different in that he uses apple for smoke...makes for a light, mild flavor.

thanks for the tip, I'll have to make an attempt at it next time we visit my wife's family in Des Moines. From their website I see they do some fairs in Valley Junction. I think we've been there a couple times, just walking around. No plans to visit there this summer as of yet.
