i'm slowly looking for a 55 and 35 gal barrell.
i like to tinker and such so i plan on doing my own.
a bit hard as i'm in a wheelchair but then i don't
have much else to do at this point.
for most i would think it better to buy a premade
one like a bds but again i'm capable of doing the
work as far as time, tools and mechanical ability.
i'm one of those that can live at lowes and hd.
i'm also gonna try and make an extension for
my new smokey joe platinum like the rotisserie
ext on the 22 kettle. no reason but to have one.
I agree about the smell and flavor, unlike any other cooking method and really enhances the wood. Also the hours cut from the cooking time really make things nice.
Maybe Atrill can give us more info on his horizontal. You can also find plans online. The one I thought was cool, had abarrel on the bottom for a fire box and one up top for cooking.
