Smoked Cabbage

We did smoked cabbage the other night and it was to die for. Although, I must admit that the red cabbage tastes better than the regular. Good eats!

Now, you can't just post that without a recipe

It also uses a BBQ to cook it.

And onions!!! Oh, wait... that's the BBQ'ed onion recipe, itsn't it.

Don't forget some butter and bbq sauce.....

We loved the smoked cabbage also, from "How to grill". One of my friends suggested we use the same basic method on acorn squash. For the most part the only difference in what we did was to use brown sugar as well.

It was awesome!! Some liked it better without bacon though. It was one of those "Try it you will like it" things................

Thank you Rob!! Great place you folks have here. Since we cant do a post without mentioning BBQ, let me continue.

With the Superbowl coming up, a friend of mine and I will be doing the cooking for the party............

Two items from "How to grill" have made the menu. Smoked Potatoes, and Rum-Smoked Salmon!! These to go along with a BBQed Rib eye roast. The smoked cabbage would have made the menu also, but we dont have a 4th Weber............. Rats.

Since Man Law states "No baking on Superbowl Sunday", we just had to whip out the Webers.

I think when I finish this 10 straight days at work, I will try to wear out my CG on Friday and Saturday. Wonder if I can use up the 80+ lbs of lump I have left...

I stopped by the store on the way home today from work. The wife called and said to pick up a gallon of milk....

Well, I stopped and am glad I did. It ended up costing me almost $96 for milk. I just took a stroll down the meat aisle as usual. Here is a list of what I found:

The bad side of that stock up of meat, the weather turned colder, and I got too busy to burn much of anything. That is ok, they are still holding fine in the freezer, and warmer weather is just around the corner.....
