Thanks for refreshing this thread. I'm buying my chargriller this Friday and I'll definitely refer to this during the building process.

Thanks for the post. I wasn't around for the first post.

I am planning on getting a CG in a month or so and this post will be very helpful I'm sure.

Actually, thanks to the new Village Idiot
(replacing me 8) )
for bumping this post back to the top!

This post really should be a sticky and we'll
see where we can place it soon.

I'm not sure if it can be done, but I
think it should be the first post
in the CG family thread.

This one and C. Piper's perfect picture
(No it's not a nursery rhyme! )
of the knock out for the CG fire box opening.

I can't wait to get my chargriller tomorrow. Last time I checked, Lowes had several of them(and the firebox) in stock.....and the box conditions were excellent.

I'm pretty good with putting together a grill. I used to work in The Home Depot garden department last year(now I'm in paint) and I'd have to put grills together on occasion.

Hey Tejano.....what camera did you use for those pics?

Hello Village,

Thanks for your comments and congrats on your new CG!

I use a Kodak DX4330 with 3.1mp, I bought it 3 years ago.

Has anyone experienced an issue with the SFB ash tray not closing flush?
My try goes all the way in the SFB in the back but has about a 1 inch gap in the front. All the SFB bolts are loose but I can't seem to asjust correctly.

Great st-by-step. I wish you'd included the picture of you swearing like a sailor and sweating like a pig, as you tried desperately to pound out the "punch out" holes.
