Steve's Babybacks done in 1 1/2 Hours Indirect?

In Steve's new Blog about the today show it says his jalapeno pinneaplle babybacks were indirect grilled and finished in 1.5 hours.

Is this like a higher heat indirect grilling? Doesn't it usually take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours? Or is that longer time real BBQ instead of just indirect grilling?

I have cooked ribs indirectly (babybacks) and it took around 1 hour 45 minutes (I don't have a grill that gets real hot), but I found that they were the best ribs I have ever had.
