Pub Chips

Pub Chips or thin circular cuts of red potatoes are popular in Chicago restaurants. Several years ago I downloaded a recipe used to presoak these chips but has lost it and its URL!
I can recall that it included suger as one of the ingredients. Have even tried malt liquor, but cannot duplicate the taste of similar chips prepared by Harry Carey's and the Goose Island brewary here.

I have had Pub Chips before but unfortunately I do not have a recipe for them. However if you come across one or if someone else has a recipe, please post for all of us

I've heard of potato rolls but pub chips sound good to me. I hope someone has the recipe!
