I'm home from work today ... laid up from straining my back while moving some "indoor " cooking appliances. So I decided to read the intro of "How to Grill" to take my mind off the pain.

It got me to wondering what books ya'll have in your arsenal?

I have:
How to Grill - Steven Raichlen
BBQ USA - Steven Raichlen
Barbecue! Bible - Steven Raichlen
Sauces, Rubs & Marinades - Steven Raichlen
Beer Can Chicken - Steven Raichlen
John Madden's: Ultimate Tailgatiing

I've purchased a half dozen other BBQ books that I won't mention. They didn't hold a candle to Steven's so I'll be giving them as stocking stuffers this year to family members.

We have a shelf full of other books, but as you can see through this site, Books by Steven Raichlen have become my absolute favorite.

Welcome aboard heaterman. You've got a great start on your library. Have you checked out "How to Grill" yet? It's full of color photos and detailed steps for every recipe. Well worth the investment!

I grilled fajitas tonight from page 86. They were much better than the ones we used to make with store bought fajita mix. We used freshly picked homegrown pablano peppers. Which, by the way, were hotter than ones I've eaten at restaurants and made a very spice fajita.

I have all of Steven's books but I must say that Steven has spoiled us all with all of the full color pictures in How to Grill!

Great Thread!!

I know that I have all of Steve's grill books, but beyond that I know I have many others but they've been surpassed by Steve's

I'll have to dust them off and list them later...

Smoke & Spice by Jamison is also another good book that I have in my collection - kind of strange organization but good recipes.

I also use Bobby Flay's Boy Meets Grill cookbook when I want something alittle unusual - however you will always need to make a trip to the store since his recipes require some unique ingredients.

I noticed in the posts above that aside from Steven's cookbook's (which seem to be at the top of our lists) each one of us have different cookbooks. So far noone has the same as anyone else. An interesting variety!
