So which school do YOU follow: pizza grilled on a pizza stone, or dough cooked directly on the grate?

I've done both - directly on the grate and on a stone. Both ways have their advantages. Depends on what type of pizza you're trying to make. I do prefer directly on the grate. Going back to my being lazy, I used to use my Mom's pizza dough recipe using Pillsbury Hot Roll mix, but I usually buy my dough premade from Trader Joe's.
