Anyone ever use a product called a smokeblade for a weber kettle?

Here is the product:

I picked it up over the winter and it seems to have some real promise to help load the kettle with lots of coals for a long smoke.

I will be using mine for the first time over the next weekend.

Just curious.

This is the first I've seen of it, and it looks interesting. Is its main advantage the ability to set up a tall stack of charcoal for the Minion Method?

That's my thinking....

I also like the idea that after the smoking is complete... I have the option of pulling out the can pull the blade and spreading the coals out for a little extra crispness to the bark.

I'd heard a bit about these units but never seen one. It's basically a baffle for the Weber kettle. It looks like a really good item - and the free shipping doesn't hurt either. :D

I wonder if they'd make one for a Weber Ranch Kettle, too?
Unlike propane, you'll never wake up scorched and naked in another county because you mishandled a bag of briquettes.

It's a nice gauge of steel too... Looks like it should hold up quite well to the heat. I will know more after the weekend.
