50% or more is lost, the fat content will change the weight some but i wont know untill im done and weigh it all,
i had 4 4lb batches and a 3lb batch so 19 lbs total.
i use HiMountain jerky cure, i find it to have the best overall flavor and i mix the two below

i use a jerky gun to make the strips, then i use the AMNPS for the cold smoke and i only use enough pellets for a 3-4 hr smoke then 3 hrs in the dehydrator
