got my shipment of assorted pellets for the AMNPS that i got 2 weeks ago for cold smoking.

Nice assortment! Can they be used only for cold smoking or will they work at higher temperatures, too?

pellets can do both cold and hot, but you need a pellet grill for that
used with the AMNPS smoke generator you get one end going real good with a torch then blow the flame out and then it smolders and produces a smoke with hardly any heat

That looks just like the fuse method that Lostarrow uses with charcoal in his Char-Griller.

started making test batches with all the different pellets, misplaced my jerky gun so i had to use the stuffer but it makes the jerky to thick, found the jerky gun on the next night

ironic that you would ask that, by sunday i had a full fledged head cold, cant smell or taste anything, today the hospital that i work at called me to fill in for another person, so i took some mesquit and pecan to a coworker thats a born texen to try it and evaluate it on the amount of smokiness, all the batches had the same amount of pellets for 3 to 4 hrs, he loved it, the mesquit was perfect but the pecan could be alittle stronger, so im starting to take notes on everything.
