Busy weekend (with pics)

Had a little Indian summer this weekend, which made the temps perfect to smoke some cheese. Did come sharp cheddar, hot pepper, and dill havarti:



For the games yesterday, did come ABT's:





And a pork butt. Smoked for 16 hours with plum wood:










Last gasp of summer, before things turn for the worse!

If you'll eventually get what we had here yesterday afternoon then "worse" is a good description...late autumn is my least favorite time of year. Bring on the snow!

Looks like you made excellent use of the good weather, though! What kind of wood did you use for the cheese?

I used maple sawdust. Really works well with the hot pepper cheese.

Man that all looks good. Kept thinking about smoking up cheese over the holidays, but never got around to it.
