Today at Costco

Went to my local Costco today and I was totally shocked to see a bunch of whole spring lambs hanging in the freezer. Yes, they started to sell whole lamb. According to the manager, they’re selling very well and they’re planning on making them regular items.
You don’t know how happy that made me feel
It’s been a struggle trying to find these things and they’re usually special order and cost too much. They were averaging about $120 each at Costco. I foresee a whole lamb cookout in the near future

I also saw 4 Tri Tips in Cryovac untrimmed with the fat cap still on them. This is a rare find in Georgia also, since all the ones I bought in the past had no fat covering on them at all. I prefer to grill with the fat cap on for better taste and remove it prior to slicing.

WOW I love Costco and will never let my membership expire.

Normally I'm not a fan of the warehouse stores but this is intriguing. I wonder if the lamb is a regional thing or if all stores are carrying it.
