OK phillyjazz....these are not philly cheesesteaks! Just throwing that disclaimer out there. I found "Carne Picada" from Wally World earlier today. I've never seen it before, but it looked like a good candidate for steak and cheese sandwiches.
Decent price too for the amount of of shaved/diced steak you get....
I'm not sure what cut this came from...I'm thinking a bunch of different cuts probably...similar to hamburger meat.
I ended up seasoning it with a good amount of Sea Salt, Cracked Pepper and Worcestershire Sauce.
Then threw it in the Wok along with a couple of small onions.
It put off a good amount of liquid, so I ended up taking a ladel and spooning out most of that so I could get some caramelization on the steak and onions.
It was still piping hot once we spooned it out of the Wok, so we just threw some sliced American Cheese on after the fact.
Served up on some French Bread along with some Mayo. Pretty good quick, cheap and easy Steak and Cheese Sandwich. Still have a lot leftover too, so I'll be having these for lunches this week.
