How often do you replace your thermometer in your smoker?
Or next question how do you know if one or both have gone bad?
I was using my WSM to do some brisket and pork butt. Had it up and running about 275Ëš. I was curious so I put in a different thermometer and it went up to 325. So I grabbed a fourth one and it went up past 300 as well.
So who knows how long I have been cooking hotter than I thought or wanted. Things seemed to be getting done quicker lately. But then I didn't load it with as much. So I thought this might be it.
Any thoughts?
I will try to get pictures of my temperature probe set up.
