"sweet paprika"

Does anyone know what sweet paprika is? All I've ever seen is plain ole' paprika, what's the difference?

The common paprica is sweet. The alternative is hot paprica.

Hot paprika is one of my favorites. If you get a chance, pick up some of Budapest's Best. I Use it for kicking up the heat in chili and the like. It has a nice complementary flavor that goes with the chili seasoning.

Ditto on the Penzeys. I make Emeril Essence (with Hugarian sweet paprika) from Penzeys spices exclusively and it is far superior than store bought. Their catalogues have lots of recipes and ideas also.
