At first I thought of the Minion Method of burning charcoal, but alas, that was Jim Minion. Nope, don't know him.

I think that's what he's talking about. He's just some guy that put his coals on top instead of underneath as far as I know that contacted the guy on Virtual Weber Bullet who deiceded to name that method after him or maybe its been awhile and I forgot which is very possible too!

I think Jim Minion is still active. We just had a BBQ competition this last weekend, and in the newspaper, there was a Jim Minion from Seattle that gave them a rub recipe for the article.

I'm not sure of the mans name but the originator of the Minion method has a son who pops up on the Bandera Brethren forums every once in a while.
