Actually the "ribs on a stick" thing is pretty popular in my area. Most of the grocery stores around here sell them in their meat department. Its just country style ribs with sticks in them but they cut them a little differant.

Maybe it's me, but I don't think CS ribs taste anything like ribs. They're closer to a pork chop. That said, I have to admit that I don't like them. I find them unpleasantly fatty and tough no matter how I cook them. They seem to have a strange "off" taste to me. Oh well, YMMV.
