Flint's BBQ

Anyone who lives in the California Bay Area needs to go check out Flint's BBQ in Berkeley. They have re-opened and seem to be just as good as ever. It was my first time there, but my wife and father inlaw say's that it's pretty close to what it use to be. Their sauce holds up to it's reputation. Great stuff. The only difference is it's gotten a bit more mild. If you like it pretty spicy, then ask for the hot. Flint's has now become my favorite BBQ joint in the area. Check them out.

You mean Flint's on Shattuck AVe, just over the line into Oakland?

Jeez, I used to get take out there years ago, and at the one on E 14th & 66th Ave in East Oakland. Great brisket, hot links and ribs. This was back in the 70's and 80's.

I also used to like Walker's on Sacramento St in Berkeley and Everett and Jones on San Pablo near University (sadly they are long gone).

Rod's Hickory Pit in El Cerrito was o.k. but they got shut fown for running a bookie joint there, too.
