Q In Alabama

My favorite local place is Cooter Brown's Rib Shack in Jacksonville. I started going there in late 2000 when the new owners took over and the food was fantastic. This year they opened a 2nd place here in my hometown (Gadsden) and the food is twice as good as it was then. Ya'll stop in and give them a shot if you're in this neck of the woods, you wont regret it!

BTW....I'm new and I love what you guys are doing here! Keep up the great work!

Yes I will definitely be a regular around here! I bought a chargriller pro back in may and have been a grillin fool ever since....I am buying the SFB next month and will be smoking everything in sight!

How close is that to I-65 dawgbitez? I travel that route every now and then.

Leatherneck, I looked it up on yahoo maps and saved the image for you. From Decatur you can take detour and pass through my hometown and eat at Cooter Brown's new location then keep going south and try out their first location.

In Jacksonville, Cooter Brown's Rib Shack is located approximately ¼ mile west of Jacksonville State University on Highway 204.

The 2nd location at 315 South 2nd Street in Gadsden, Alabama.
