City BBQ is incredible but, The Pig Iron on Hard Rd has the best pork ribs (next to mine of course) BEAT TEXAS

Anyone tried Smackies Smokehouse in New Albany/Gahanna? I've heard it's better than City BBQ.

Never heard of it. Sounds like its time for a trip to Gahanna

damon's has some pretty good ribs and they started in columbus before going nationwide. i went to school with the owner's son.

when at city bbq get a half bird also..and brisket. they do it right!!!!

Smakies is very good. Doesnt really have the look of a BBQ joint (more like a Chipotle) but the meat is excellent.

I think City BBQ's brisket is terrific. OTOH, we have both a City BBQ and Smackie's in Gahanna, and we are always more likely to go to Smackie's. We love it.

I agree it sure doesn't look the typical BBQ joint, but it seems like it is owned by someone who gets it.

One of the recipes in BBQ USA is from City Barbecue, Millionaires Brisket is what it's called. I have been to City Barbecue, it is awesome.
