Salt Lick Taco Bar, Austin Airport, TX

Forgot I took these pix with my phone. I ended my trip to Austin with a couple of Green Chile Pulled Pork Tacos from the Salt Lick Taco Bar in the airport. These were great, and the pulled pork had a great smoke ring and flavor.





They were topped with a green chile sauce, some cabbage, Salt Lick Spicy Recipe BBQ Sauce, and shredded cheese.





Definitely worth checking out if you are ever waiting for a flight in Austin. The price isn't bad either considering it's in an airport.

The pork must be smoked at Salt Lick's main location and then brought in. Perfectly fine way to do it, since a lot of people consider pulled pork to actually be better a day later when it's been pulled and the bark has had a chance to mingle with the interior meat.

Besides, there might be some issues with operating a smoker inside an airport.
