Why: My wife's family introduced me to this central Texas gem and every time I'm within 100 miles, I have to stop in. I've enjoyed barbeque, or what they call barbeque, all over the country, but this old family resteraunt with no air conditioing takes the cake by far. Mueller's is OK, but both my place and Smitty's in Lockhart and City Market in Luling sell much better brisket and sausage. Mueller's sides are better.

If you are in Austin, please drop by for some great cue! It's pretty much the same as Louie Mueller's in Taylor without the long drive. But come early because we run out of food by 2:00 on many days.
