Joey's Smokin bbq in CA

as a Laker fan I heard of how Luke Walton owned this bbq place and how it was so supposed to be great so I decided to go there when I ran into it
but wow very disappointing
I ordered a half rack of sweet baby backs and was disappointed before I even tasted it since it was much smaller than what I thought while it costed $15
the meat was very tender and juicy: fell off the bone and melted in your mouth but there was very little smoke or seasoning flavor which they tried to compensate by drowning it in this bbq sauce that was good but not great

eon don't be too disappointed... it is restaurant food after all.

I went to the one on Carmel Mountain (San Diego)
what made the disappointment worse was I treated about 6 people to various take out joints that night, spending about $80 and just about everyone was ungrateful
