I will be in McLean VA (from UK next week on business 1st- 3rd March 2008 ) any recommendations on restaurants to get a good steak.

I think there's a Palm Steakhouse over in McClean. If not, if DC is good for one thing, it's steak. Politicos love big ole steaks. try Charlie Palmer or The Prime Rib. There's also a Palm and the high-end chains.

For BBQ, notmuch, just the Red Hot and Blue chain...

There are plenty of good steak joints in Northern VA. I believe there is a Palm on route 7 in McLean as well as a Morton's in Tyson's Corner.

For BBQ, check out Bubba's in Falls Church, it's in a little strip mall of off route 50.
