Hello, I had a last minute trip to Kansas City come up for this weekend. Leaving early Friday morning and have all day to eat and tour. I am looking for detailed subjective opinions on BBQ restaurants there. Not just "this one is good and that one is bad", I want to know what and why.
So far on my list are (in no particular order) - Arthur Bryants, Danny Edwards, Gates, Jack Stack, and BB's Lawnside. Are there any I am missing?
Obviously I won't be able to order everything on the menu at all of these. I am looking for suggestions on what to order if you were in my situation. So far in my research I've heard good things about burnt ends and short ribs at Arthur Bryants, brisket at Danny Edwards, and just about everything at Jack Stack (including sides of onion rings & beans). Who does a really great chicken? What about pulled pork?
