Parlez vous barbecue?

Steven and Barbara spent a week in Montreal recently for the launch of Barbecue d’Interieur, the French translation of Indoor Grilling. (Pictured on the top left of the poster.) Barbecue, the French version of How to Grill (pictured in the top right), recently passed the 100,000 mark in Quebec, and the publisher also released a boxed set of Steven’s spices in the form of a book (bottom left). Pictured here from left to right are editor-in-chief Pierre Bourdon, Steven, Carolan Workman from Workman Publishing (who flew in specially for the launch party), publisher Pierre Esperence, and the lovely Mrs. R.

Steven joins Canadian TV hosts Pascale Nadeau et Ricardo Larivée for a grilling segment on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, with Montreal in the background. Check out the grill—a tiny, Quebec designed wood burner that achieves temperatures of 1200 degrees, thanks to an electric blower in the base. (We’re trying to import it to sell on the Barbecue Store.)
